Story

A tale of domestic "not so bliss".

Lyrics

Everybody's got a little secret that they don't want anyone to know.
Everything was hidden in my shell so well until I let it go.
Everything was fine. I opened my mouth and crossed the line.
Everything was good, and now I'm the fool of the neighborhood.

You gotta work things out, knock on wood.
You gotta scream and shout sometimes.
But if you want her to stay you gotta treat her good.

Trouble started cookin' when my baby started lookin' what was wrong with me.
Gettin' in a fight I said she wasn't as delightin' as she used to be.
Baby start to cry, callin' her mama and sayin' goodbye.
Feelin' like a fool. 'Cause you gotta be stupid to be so cruel.

You gotta work things out, knock on wood.
You gotta scream and shout sometimes.
But if you want her to stay you gotta treat her good.

Seven minutes later I was in an elevator to the thirteenth floor.
Seekin' mediation to amend my situation, 'cause that's what that man is for.
He looked me in the eye, and said; "You should'na made yer baby cry."
"...and I'll do what I can. But there's one thing you gotta understand."

You gotta work things out, knock on wood.
You gotta scream and shout sometimes.
But if you want her to stay you gotta treat her good.
